Sam Kallis is a mom, illustrator, award-winning gardener, and the Creative Director of Visual Development for Disney Television Animation. She graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and has spent her career making colorful things for television, film, books, and galleries around the world.

Sam lives in Los Angeles with her husband, young son, and four ridiculous cats, in a pink, yellow, and purple 100-year-old Victorian cottage. When not drawing, she can usually be found lurking in the garden, chasing after one or more of the cats, or off finding some everyday adventures with her son.
